ANIMAL USE PROTECTION COALITION

PROTECTING THE RIGHTS, FREEDOMS AND TRADITIONS OF ANIMAL USE IN AMERICA

A.U.P.C. Mission Statement

The mission of the A.U.P.C. is to protect the rights, freedoms and traditions of animal use in America. We support modern conservation practices through regulated hunting and fishing seasons. We believe in keeping America free while preserving deep national traditions concerning animal use activities. Whether you hunt, fish, race horses, ride bulls, trap, farm, ranch, breed dogs, own a pet, or just feel like you were born with the God given right to eat meat, you are welcome around our campfire.

Predators & Wildlife Management

The A.U.P.C supports proactive, science based wildlife management practices that utilize regulated hunting seasons to achieve maximum carrying capacities and management objectives. Wildlife management, plans and policies should be controlled at the state level. Predators serve an obvious role in the eco system, but they should be managed effectively as to not degrade, nor deplete any particular wildlife species. Cougars, wolves and bears are magnificent animals and are well deserving of their place in the environment. As with all wildlife, predators need to be carefully managed in order to reduce human safety and livestock conflicts. Managing predator and prey species equally provides the needed balance for wildlife to thrive and maintain maximum, healthy populations. All user groups, wildlife species and the environment benefit from a well balanced, scientific and common sense approach to wildlife management.

Partners In Conservation

There are a host of "Conservation" organizations that claim to be for wildlife and conservation. The A.U.P.C. is a no compromise organization that will not partner, strike deals, or work with any organizations:

  • That are anti hunting, anti animal use, or take positions that could work against the mission and members of the A.U.P.C.
  • That protect, introduce, or transplant predator species and do not support managing these species using state level wildlife management policies, laws and plans.
